It's time to rev things up and hit the silver screen strip once again for this next installment of The Cartharsis. Those tantalizing tin-machines of Tinseltown, those magical motors in monochrome,
those jolly jalopies of - well you get the gist. And if there is anything that was actually nice about those meaner than a junkyard dog Mean Streets from 1972, it would have to be its leading motor - the '72 Chrysler Imperial Baron that strutted it's sapphire stuff all around, with random acts of derring-do on Delancey, braving that combative corner of Chrystie Street, for these were surely no benevolent boulevards.
And Sally McMillan (Susan St James) lived in a yellow 1953 XCK-713 MG Roadster, a yellow 1953 XCK-713 MG Roadster, particular in the first season of the NBC Mystery Movie : McMillan and Wife (1971-77). And it was pure chicanery, how charming commissioner Mac ever was able to fold his pins just so to situate himself next to our Sal in its wiggle-room free zone and all.

1969's Italian Job is ripe for the picking, with its perpetual parade of petrol-pumpers, this 1962 Jaguar E-type, with its molto bene mph of 150 and sub-seven second zero to sixty perfect pitch, is pure music to the eyes. And if it's any indication that the earlier D model happened to win the Le Mans 24 hour event three years straight in the running, you know this one is just zipping a-dee- doo-dah. And one would be hard-pressed to find something not to be besotted with, when it comes to this beauty.
